CME Attendance Reports

As a service to University of Michigan staff, the Department of Medical Education documents attendance at regularly scheduled U-M Medical School CME activities that have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.™

We track credit only for the following participants of internal UM activities:

• Physicians
• Allied health professionals who use AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward relicensure
• Other attendees by departmental request only

We do not track credit for the following participants of internal UM activities:

• Non-UM personnel
• House Officers I, II, III (State licensing provides required credit for training program instead)
• Attendees who do not require AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

If you are new to the University, or otherwise need to be added to our tracking database, please fill out the CME Personal Information Form.

We email a CME Attendance Report to all U-M personnel registered in the CME system database who submitted the orange Program Attendance/Evaluation Cards after their attendance at a session. CME Attendance Reports are based on the calendar year and are emailed to UMHS personnel once per year. Reports for the preceding calendar year are emailed in April. U-M staff should keep these CME Attendance Reports as documentation of CME credit earned for Michigan relicensure (and licensure for other states), as well as the AMA Physician's Recognition Award and other activities requiring documentation of CME participation.

Please note: The CME office tracks only credit earned at internal programs accredited by UMMS. The annual CME Attendance Report is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of CME activities attended by physicians during their relicensure cycle. Attendance certificates and other documentation received at external (non-UM) programs should be kept by the individual physician for their own personal records. There is no need to submit copies to our office. If you are missing documentation of participation, please contact the sponsoring organization.
