About CME Self-Study and Credit

Method of Participation
Participants read introductory information on web pages then listen/watch to a web based video presentation while viewing the accompanying slides. After completing the presentation, the participant should complete the learning assessment test, which will be electronically scored and the correct answers returned immediately. This activity can be completed in 1.5 hours.

CME Accreditation and Credit Designation
The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Michigan Medical School designates this activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Obtaining CME Credit
In order to obtain AMA PRA Category 1 credits™, participants are required to (1) complete the course of study provided in this activity and (2) complete and submit the electronic learning assessment test and the electronic credit request provided at the end of the activity. An electronic certificate of participation will be provided immediately, which participants can print for their personal records.

Release Date and Credit Availability
This CME activity was prepared for release in April 17, 2006. CME credit may be awarded for a maximum of one years from its release date, specifically from April 17, 2006 through April 16, 2007. Continuation of credit from that date depends on a thorough review of the content currency and accuracy.
