Program Objectives:

A significant proportion of primary care practice addresses cardiovascular problems for which important new methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment continue to be developed. Primary care clinicians should understand these new methods and how to incorporate them into cardiovascular care.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to identify newer management options for coronary disease, heart failure, lipid disorders, and venous disease; as well as be able to recognize common cardiovascular drug interactions and interpret the echocardiographic report.

Target Audience:

This course is especially relevant to the primary care practicing physician. Topics covered relate to issues and problems that are part of the clinical practice.
